Clubs

The Junior Club has been running for over 15 years and is led by a professional actor with years of acting and teaching experience. Classes are for 9-13yr olds and run from September to June. There is a club in Saint Germain en Laye on Thursday afternoons and one in Paris on Wednesday afternoons. During the year, we will explore a wide variety of theatrical techniques, including devising, improvisation, physical theatre and mime with an emphasis on learning how to work creatively with the voice and body. The children work towards a directed show, which they perform at a professional Parisian theatre. All levels are welcome.

Practice your English and perform in a show in Drama Ties’ English theatre group. A company of around 12 amateur actors will take to the stage using a variety of professional theatre techniques based on improvisation and scenes from both classic and contemporary English language theatre.
The objective of the class is to produce a quality production at the end of the year and to offer to each participant a space for liberty, pleasure, expression and poetry. Training is based on professional exercises adapted for amateurs. Almost any level of English is welcome so long as you are happy to learn a theatrical text. We seek to help you find creativity, spontaneity and self-confidence. Our approach is multidisciplinary using many different methods throughout the year, anything from Stanislavsky’s systematic approach to physical theatre techniques inspired by Jacques Lecoq.
